A few more photos from our recent trip to Barcelona.
I hope you enjoy them.

We stayed near the Arc de Triomf, and the area around it and nearby park were both busy from dawn until dusk (and beyond). As you can see, the park was flat as a pancake, so we went for a few runs in the warm evenings – a treat compared to the hills of Devon.

I’m not sure if these trees were suffering from the ongoing drought, or if they were meant to look like that

A detail from a fountain in Parc de la Ciutadella, although all the jets were switched off because of a drought

A rooftop panorama

Street entertainment in full swing, I think to raise awareness or funds for a health organisation or a hospital

Bubbles outside the Barcelona Cathedral.
Montjuïc – a fort above the city with a chequered history. At one time it was used to bombard the inhabitants of Barcelona, quelling an uprising against the army in a brutal and devastating fashion. The artillery pieces shown are more recent and point out to sea.
