The Blank Page Experiment
A new writing experiment. Me, a blank page, about an hour, a spark of inspiration.
Okay, I’m looking for new things to do with this publication, and I’ve added a new section called The Blank Page. The idea is simple. Raw, unmasked writing, fresh from the typewriter or written by hand. It will be something to entertain, and that can take many forms.
I’ll sit down with a blank page, give myself an hour and see what I can come up with.
The posts will be separate subscription, so you can opt in or out as you please.
At the moment, I’m deciding how to integrate paid supporter subscriptions into this. It’s more work, it’s original and fresh, and it will have to be retyped and improved to fix the inevitable typos and errors.
All this takes time which, I feel, ought to be rewarded in some way. We’ll see how it goes.
This week’s piece was inspired by a photo I shared in one of my notes:
The hour allowed me to only write the first instalment of what will probably be a short story. The text needs to be retyoped and so on, and I may record an audio version too. When it’s ready, it will be in the new section here:

I hope this is something readers will want to support.
Now I need to rest my fingers - those old keys take some bashing.

An excellent idea and rather unique. Looking forward to reading the outcome
What a fun idea and challenge. Happy writing, Michael! 💛
