If you’re sweltering under a sunny sky and wishing for some respite from the heat, these photos from the cool shade beside the River Teign might be a balm for your eyes, at least.

Perhaps you can picture yourself strolling along the bank or even dipping your bare toes into the cool water.

Sue and I certainly enjoyed our walk, and Lottie had a little swim which generally perks her up and puts a spring in her step, although I always think she looks rather disreputable when her fur is all wet and sticking up in clumps. Still, after a vigorous rub with a towel her coat looked shiny again, and we all had a good time.

I hope you like the photos. I didn’t caption them individually as they’re all taken along the River Teign. If you’re a member of the site, please feel free to post a comment, and if you’re not a member, please consider joining. It’s free and fun.
