We’ve had some glorious sunny spells recently, and the sunlight has really shown off the colours of the autumn foliage.

Of course, this being England, we’ve also had some wintry showers and cold blasts of air. Storm Arwen was the latest, but we escaped unscathed, unlike the poor folks who went without power for several days. I have heard that in places, the poles supporting the power lines were snapped clean in two, so we have cause to be thankful that we live in a sheltered corner of the UK.

I hope you like the pictures. I made sure to include a few of my faithful companion, Lottie.

Me in my natural environment. No hat – it must’ve been warm on the day I took this.

Rain sweeping along the valley, and towards me, unfortunately.

Lottie dodging the wintry showers.

The Devon lanes take their tribute in the form of hubcaps, wing mirrors and pieces of bodywork.

Autumnal colours.
