Early spring sunshine always feels like an unexpected bonus.
We made the most of it with a visit to the beach at Teignmouth.
The hazy sunshine gave me some trouble with the exposure of the photos, but I hope they capture something of what the trip was like.
Plus, there are some goldfinches. Several of these bright birds have taken to visiting our garden to feast on sunflower kernels, and I’m very pleased to see them.

Wow, your goldfinches are striking! Our American goldfinches are changing to their summer plumage.
I must look American goldfinches up. I do find birds fascinating, but I’m no expert.
Here in Illinois, the male goldfinches are golden with some black. Of course the females are dull, but their mates are spectacular and all love niger (thistle) seed.
Interesting. Thanks.
Your bird feeder has a good reputation.
Maybe someone tweeted about it.
That was a GOOD joke-
