In Mystery in May, Dan and Alan go fishing at Kennick reservoir.

I did the same thing at the weekend, so of course, I took some photos for you.

The fish were unamused by my crude attempts to lure them into my clutches, but I had a wonderful afternoon in the fresh air, surrounded by wildlife.

The reservoir is only a short drive from my home, so I don’t know why I don’t go more often. It’s partly the expense of the permit, I guess, but it works out at pretty good value when you can stay at the lake from sunrise to sunset if you want to. At this time of year, that’s a bit of a long shift, even for the most enthusiastic angler. I called it a day at around 6:30 and went home empty-handed but happy.

But at least I bagged some photos.
