My adventures in mountain biking are coming along. I’m a member of a group of mountain bike enthusiasts, and at the weekend we went on a ride up on Dartmoor.

We couldn’t always find the trail, but that’s the way it is with bridlepaths and footpaths on Dartmoor: they may be marked on a map, but that doesn’t mean that they’re still used.

We trundled through bracken and gorse, explored some pretty lanes, and rolled up and down rocky paths.

Great fun, good exercise, and lots of fresh air.

We set off from the picturesque village of North Bovey, but I didn’t have the time (or the energy) to take many pics. I must go back soon with a camera.

I hope you enjoy the pics, and thanks to Chris Chapman of Chris Chapman Creative Media for allowing me to include a landscape that he captured.

This reminded me of my book covers!

Breathtaking views
