That was the final email from Alan, but there’s one more email, and that’s an afterword from me.
For each mystery, I like to write an afterword to answer some questions and share my online notebook so that you can see some of the sources I used when writing the story.
This was an unusual way to tell a story, and I hope that the method of delivery made it more enjoyable.

What has happened to DS Spiller?
This was a more limited adventure so I tried to keep the number of characters down. Spiller will return.
It was great to have Alan as the hero. He really deserves his pint in the Boar. Hopefully in the meantime the shop had managed to get a bacon delivery so that Alan can enjoy a nice bacon butty when he gets home. 🙂
