Hi Mikey, just a nugget of info you might be interested in with relation to your comments about the military aircraft. I live in Hamilton, Ontario Canada and we have one of the last 2 functional Lancaster bombers in the world in our Warplane Heritage Museum. Shes known as Vera! Its quite a thrill when we hear her go overhead! We always know its the Lancaster. No other plane makes quite the same noise as she does. It gives me shivers to think how it must have sounded in WW2 tho. I’m reading a Margaret Mayhew mystery novel right now that talks a lot about the bombers and how so many of the Lancaster crews never came home. Its heartbreaking.
I like the idea of a pen name just for the scifi. To kind of separate the genres and make it clear to your readers which genre they’re looking at. The hard-core fans won’t care. We bounce from one to another if the writing is good anyway!
I have to say, I love the fact that romance isn’t a main focus in the Devonshire mysteries. Its so refreshing to read a mystery that doesn’t have an undercurrent of romance to it. Obviously, Dan and Alan have interests. They’re red blooded men, but it isn’t a focus and thats a wonderful change.
Sorry, I’ve babbled. Its just so nice to connect directly. I’ve loved all your books that I’ve read so far. Not predictable, not run of the mill. You keep me entranced right to the last page! Please don’t stop what you’re doing!
And P.S. I also love your pics of the beautiful countryside and Lottie!
Thank you very much for your thoughtful comments. I’d love to see a Lancaster fly. My mother’s sister married a man who came over with the Royal Canadian Air Force. It’s fascinating how people around the world can have connections. Thanks for your kind words about my my work. It means a great deal. I certainly intend to keep going.
